Il 29, 30 e 31 maggio Officine Farneto in collaborazione con Snob Production presenta la terza edizione di This Is Food, il progetto dedicato alla cultura gastronomica metropolitana, che mette in rete alcune delle più interessanti realtà del panorama gastronomico di Roma.
This Is Food si propone di raccontare la “pop cuisine” di qualità, le piccole realtà e start up del cibo che nascono e rinnovano la scena gastronomica cittadina. Nuovi sapori, ma anche nuovi format e nuovi “brand” urbani, in grado di rinnovare i modelli e le forme tradizionali della comunicazione, oltre che i menù. Il suo intento è quello di dare uno spaccato della scena culinaria di una città che sta cambiando rapidamente e puntare i riflettori sui suoi nuovi protagonisti che si vanno affermando, i nuovi luoghi del cibo e le nuove mode che si stanno diffondendo. Quest’anno, ad esempio, troviamo, fra le tante realtà partecipanti all’evento, Pastella, friggitoria gourmet del quartiere Montesacro, a seguire Le Levain Roma, meravigliosa boulangerie trasteverina, e le straordinarie pizze di Gabriele Bonci, proprietario e fondatore di Pizzarium.
Ma la vera novità di quest’edizione sarà Container. Si tratta di un vero e proprio container vuoto, messo a disposizione dei concorrenti, da allestire per costruire il proprio originale pop up restaurant, a cui si deve aggiungere uno staff da coordinare e un menù da presentare al pubblico capitolino. Tre giorni di tempo e duro lavoro per promuovere il proprio progetto e riuscire a vincere il finanziamento stanziato.
L’evento si svolgerà presso Officine Farneto, splendida location post-industriale nel cuore di Roma, e sarà distribuito su tre giorni, a partire dall’aperitivo del venerdì fino al brunch della domenica, con cui si concluderà questa interessante “sfilata” della nuova food culture romana. This Is Food aims to tell about the “pop cuisine”, small companies and start-up that renew the gastronomic scene. New flavors, but also new formats and new urban “brand”, able to renew the models and the traditional way of communication, as well as the menu. It aims to give an insight into the culinary scene of a city that is rapidly changing and shines the spotlight on its new players, new places and new trends. This year, for example, among the realities contributing to the event there are Pastella, a gourmet fry shop of Montesacro followed by Le Levain Roma, wonderful boulangerie from Trastevere and Gabriele Bonci’s amazing pizzas, he is the owner and founder of Pizzarium. However, Container is the real novelty of this edition. It is a real empty container, available to competitors; they have to set it up to build their original pop up restaurant, in which they also have to hire their crew and a menu to present to the audience. Three days of hard work to promote their project and win the prize: a loan to support their project.
The event will take place at Officine Farneto, a beautiful post-industrial location in the heart of Rome, and will last three days; starting from the Friday aperitif through the Sunday brunch. You can’t miss!
